Dan Bruno | Department Manager

Dan Bruno has been a member of Buckley & Company since 1989 and has brought over thirty years of insurance experience to our agency and has been a driving force in expanding Buckley's Specialty Lines Department. Dan's career began as an underwriter with Western Casualty & Surety Company of Fort Scott, Kansas. His keen business sense enabled him to reach a supervisory capacity in that department. In 1978, he left the company to join a local insurance agency in Lexington, Kentucky. Utilizing the underwriting skills he brought with him, Dan soon became one of Central Kentucky's premier Risk Managers in specialty professional liability insurance.

With Dan's depth of experience in the industry there are few insurance exposures he has not faced. He stands ready and willing to help you find answers to any insurance exposures you may encounter. Dan has also acted as Operations Manager for the last ten years coordinating human resource issues and carrier relationships for the agency. Mary Butler, ACSR | Customer Service Agent

Mary came to Buckley & Company from Allstate Insurance in 1992. Her insurance career began in Personal Lines, where she demonstrated a real desire to serve her clients with a very caring attitude. She considers continuing education to be an important part of her job and hold the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation. We have been proud to have Mary in our Commercial Lines department for fifteen years.

Linda Jones, KACSR | Customer Service Agent

Linda is a senior member of the Buckley & Company Commercial Lines team. She has worked in the insurance industry since 1999 and strives to constantly increase her insurance knowledge base. She obtained her Kentucky Accredited Customer Service Representative (KACSR) designation in 2006 and is working to obtain the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Linda's computer skills are excellent, which is an important key to providing fast and efficient service for our customers in today's highly automated insurance industry. She has a positive, cheerful attitude and strong personal commitment to serving her customers. Renee joined Buckley & Company, Inc in 2002. She came to us with over 14 years of insurance experience from Ohio Casualty as an Underwriter and holds the ACSR, Accredited Customer Service Representative, designation sponsored by the Independent Insurance Agents Association.

B.F "Biff" Buckley, CPCU | Producer/Owner

Biff is the third generation of Buckley's to own and manage the insurance agency. He joined the agency in 1972 and became President in 1984. He holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, a rigorous 5-year program emphasizing complete expertise in the Property and Casualty field.

Biff has served as President of five different civic, professional and church organizations. He has overseen the growth of the agency from relatively small local insurance agency to a large regional agency with an active sales presence committed to excellent customer service.

Elizabeth Buckley, CIC | Producer/Owner

Elizabeth Buckley joined her brother in the family business in 1992. She is a lifelong resident of Lexington and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. Upon completing her formal education she joined Buckley & Company. After serving as a Customer Service Agent in the personal lines department, she joined the commercial insurance division as a producer in 1994. In 2001, Elizabeth became Executive Vice President and Partner.

Ron Fey | Producer

Ron Fey has been Buckley & Company's leading Commercial Lines Producer for 20 years. His diversified insurance background of 38 years continues to make him the driving force in Buckley's Commercial Insurance department.

Ron began his insurance career in 1969 with Aetna Casualty & Surety Company based out of Louisville, KY. His position as underwriter enabled him to achieve a well rounded understanding of the industry, its product coverages, and needs. However, the retail marketplace attracted Ron. In 1972 he became the agency manager of one of Louisville's most successful independent agencies. Recognizing his ability to manage and coordinate the agencies inner structure, Ron started his own Independent Agency in 1975. In order to be closer to family he sold his agency and moved to Lexington in 1986.

Chuck Hunt | Producer

Chuck Hunt became a producer with Buckley & Company in 2005. He comes to Buckley & Company with a degree in Insurance and Risk Management from Eastern Kentucky University. After completing his formal education, Chuck worked as an Underwriter for RPS for four years in their Commercial Insurance Department.

As an Account Executive, Chuck brings technical and practical knowledge from his experience and training in the Commercial Insurance arena. Combining risk management techniques with an understanding of today's marketplace, Chuck provides his clients with the best possible protection programs available in the market today.

Steve Marks, CWCP | Marketing Director

Steve Marks is our Director of Marketing. He has been with Buckley & Company since 2007 and has over 14 years experience in commercial insurance. Steve has a degree in insurance from Eastern Kentucky University and has worked as a commercial underwriter for Cincinnati Insurance, Great American Insurance and Ohio Casualty. He is an expert in Workers' Compensation Insurance with a Certified Workers' Compensation Professional designation from Michigan State University and over 5 years in the underwriting department at KEMI where he was the supervisor over large accounts and coal. By utilizing his knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and companies, Steve is able to negotiate the best possible terms and pricing for our commercial customers.
